Vail Elegance: Kelly & Peter’s Larkspur Wedding

If you are an avid follower of our blog and/or social media, you are no stranger to the Larkspur event venue located in beautiful Vail, Colorado. This post is a look at yet another unforgettable Larkspur wedding. The couple is Kelly and Peter and the planning mastermind behind this special evening is Jeni Pletcher, wedding planner and owner of Gemini Event Planning. 

Kelly and Peter’s ceremony was white, rustic and kissed by florals. They chose white-washed, wooden, x-back chairs with matching white chair pads for guest seating. Vail-based florist, Rose Petals, created a gorgeous and natural custom floral arch, made an aisle of white flower petals and framed the aisle with big white and pink blooms and ethereal greenery.

After the ceremony, friends and family grabbed a glass of champagne from the custom Colorado Tents & Events champagne wall display and mingled in the main lawn. Cocktail tables with accompanying umbrellas and a lounge surrounded a custom, wooden, aspen bar with matching bar shelves. 

Moving to the reception, the couple chose a beautiful clear top Navitrac tent with all clear sidewalls for dinner and dancing. Due to the landscape of the Larkspur lawn, engineered tent flooring is required. Tents and Events uses a mahogany stained flooring product called Strata floor. It’s important to know that Strata floor requires an additional day of set-up and breakdown when planning an event. It also requires a full day’s worth of labor for both set-up and breakdown as well as the hauling of alot of equipment. For this reason, this is an expensive product, but well worth the expense if within your budget and necessary at this particular location.

Tents and Events outfitted the tent with a custom lighting and draping package, incorporating both styles of string lighting (festival and twinkle) and our crystal chandeliers. For equipment, the couple decided on a combination of custom wooden farm tables and round banquet tables and wooden x-back chairs with white chair pads. The tablescapes included Tents & Events’ gold flatware collection and glass gold charger plates. Tents & Events also provided the all white dance floor, band staging, and ivory loveseat stationed at the head table. 

Once the sun went down, it was time for this dancing crew to take the party inside into Larkspur’s main event space where they hosted a glow in the dark themed the after party. This is certainly an event that Tents & Events will never forget!
