Sarah & Philip’s Light & Airy Tented Beaver Creek Mountain Wedding

Sarah and Philip are a nature loving couple who appreciate the mountains as much as they do the beach which made picking a wedding venue a challenge! Ultimately, they opted for the mountains, booking with Beaver Creek’s Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch. But, who says you can’t have a beachy, mountain wedding? Let’s take a look at this style bending design that is definitely trend-worthy!

The Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch’s ceremony site is an iconic part of its property. Aptly named, Skier’s Bridge, it is quite literally a wooden bridge that skier’s traverse by winter and that couples’ make the walk down the aisle during the summer. Sarah and Philip left the ceremony untouched except for a few tasteful flower arrangements flanking the ends of the aisle. In collaboration with Dallas based wedding planner, Carson Castellaw, the couple set the tone for the overall design theme with these arrangements, using understated, aspen tree stumps whose white-washed bark blended perfectly with the beachy white and blue flower bouquets.

Post ceremony, guests meandered the stretch of lawn between the Skier’s Bridge and the Grand Lawn where Sarah and Philip’s reception tent was pitched. Seating arrangements were creatively posted via this custom aspen tree and floral place card wall and an array of seated and standing cocktail tables were tastefully scattered throughout the space in graceful, ocean blue linens with sashes to match.

Tents & Events had the honor to do a full reception tent service for Sarah and Philip. On the Ritz’s Grand Lawn, CTE installed a NaviTrac tent with a full ceiling fabric liner. Ceiling fabric liners are a trend that is starting to make a big comeback. Popular in the early 2000s, a fabric liner is a fun and classy option that gives the illusion of a seamless, full, white drape package. For lighting, the couple chose CTE’s antler chandeliers that the Vail-based floral design company, Vintage Magnolia, adorned with neutral, greenery garlands.

Sarah and Philip found that the Ritz’s neutral folding chairs supported their bright and airy color palette perfectly. In keeping with the theme, they selected CTE’s matching birch wood dance floor and bright white, embroidered table linens. The table centerpieces were made to match the ceremony accents. Delicate white and blue floral arrangements and earthy garlands were paired with the Ritz’s crystal stemware, white china and sterling silver flatware. Aspen stumps doubled as table numbers and candles, white napkins and an elegant touch of gold mercury glass rounded out the table design.

Aside from the table decor, tasteful, beachy notes could also be seen in the groom’s fish cake, the bride’s elegant white, tiered cake accented with succulents and super fun “to have and to hold” aquamarine-colored blankets for the guests.

Sarah and Philip took advantage of the bluebird afternoon that transitioned into a midsummer’s eve, keeping the tent sidewalls open and dancing the night away to the music of the Uptown Sound band.
