Breckenridge Backyard Betrothal – Abby & Josh’s Mountain Wedding

Bride, Abby, only had one unconditional when it came to her wedding day: to get married at her family’s Breckenridge home. And that is exactly what she did on a beautiful July evening surrounded by her nearest and dearest. 

Abby and Josh walked down the aisle on a midsummer’s eve in a field adjacent to the family property. Inspired by the mountains surrounding them, the couple kept their ceremony furnishings rustic and simple. Guests were seated in Colorado Tents & Event’s wooden x-back chairs, facing an elegant and matching mahogany, hexagonal arbor. Tasteful touches of minimalist-style greenery and florals served as the only decor which perfectly complemented the venue’s natural surroundings.

Post-ceremony, guests followed the serene, mountain creek Southbound to the family’s property where an intimate, all-clear tent awaited their arrival for dinner and dancing. In keeping with the ceremony theme, the tent was outfitted with the same wooden x-back chairs as the ceremony and Colorado Tents & Events’ custom farm table to match. The couple opted for crisp white table runners and napkins, neutral greenery, and white candles which served as a graceful and unimposing backdrop for the more eclectic tableware accents such as pink water goblets and marble dinner chargers. 

Despite the tent’s clear sidewalls, the couple was able to fully embrace the summer evening, dining al fresco with the tent sidewalls pulled back and open. As the sun set, guests transitioned out of their seats to the cherry wood dance floor and the warm glow of the afternoon’s sun was replaced by the golden aura of the tent’s full festival light package.
