Colorado Wedding Venues: The Vail Golf Club & Nordic Center

As promised, we are excited to roll out the first installment of our mountain venue blog series! To kick us off, we will be doing a deep dive into the Vail Golf Club & Nordic Center! This Vail wedding venue boasts scenic mountain views, a recently renovated clubhouse, a private ceremony island, and more!

Who “is” the Vail Golf Club & Nordic Center?

The Vail Golf Club & Nordic Center is a Town of Vail run property that wears many hats. It is self-described on its website as “a spectacular new community place to gather with old friends and to create new ones,” “home to world-class recreation”, and “a breathtaking wedding and events venue”. We couldn’t have said it better ourselves! Throughout the year, this clubhouse serves as a golfer hangout, a fine dining restaurant, a nordic ski hub, and, more pertinent to us, a sought after wedding destination.

What Makes the Vail Nordic Center a Great Colorado Wedding Venue?

Perfect for groups of up to 160, the Vail Golf Club & Nordic Center offers a variety of spaces available for wedding ceremonies and receptions. Ceremony seating is one of the most often requested rental items that we receive from clients who book this venue. Clients have the option to set-up on the lawn next to the building, underneath its covered patio, or at Wedding Island (cue dreamy music).

The Vail Golf Club Wedding Island, in our opinion, is one of the most beautiful ceremony spots on the Western Slopes. Quite literally an island, this well-groomed, private oasis, is located out on the golf course. Although it does require guests to navigate a little bit of a walk, the island is accessed via a quaint bridge and bestows gorgeous views of the Gore Range. It is definitely high on the list of ceremony spaces that speaks for themselves.

Ellie and Max’s ceremony was definitely a highlight of ours at this location. Vail wedding planner Kelly Karli’s vision came to life more beautifully than we could have imagined with our farm benches and jaw-dropping florals compliments of Vail Vintage Magnolia.

Aside from its various and splendid ceremony options, this venue is quite well-known for the Gore Range Room. The Gore Range Room is a stunning banquet room located inside of the clubhouse. Most commonly used for the wedding reception space, it is a sleek and modern space with dark wood accents and stunning floor to ceiling windows encapsulating that amazing mountain view. The space comes pre-equipped with many guest amenities, but clients come to us for their dance floor rentals. Looking to upgrade your experience further? Where is the Vail Golf Club & Nordic Center?

Just over the hill from us, the Vail Golf + Nordic Clubhouse is located on the eastern side of Vail, Colorado along the edge of the Gore Range, which give them some of the best views out of all the wedding venues in Colorado!

This Vail wedding venue books year-round, but certain accommodations, like Wedding Island, are only available during peak season.
