Just when we think we’ve seen it all, new Pinterest-worthy trends and styles emerge casting their unique imprint on each event season. Micro Weddings

Ok, we know this isn’t a groundbreaking trend alert, but we foresee that micro weddings are here to stay in a big way. While we hope to leave the worst behind us in 2020, the days of large, maskless gatherings in Colorado aren’t quite here, yet. Micro weddings are the perfect way to celebrate love in a compliant and safe space surrounded by your nearest and dearest. We love to see a trend that strips back all of the layers of what weddings have become in recent years and returns the focus to what this ceremony is all about: a couples’ love for each other! Another pro to consider: maximizing budget! Let’s be real. Weddings are EXPENSIVE! There are so many details and fun elements to consider when planning a wedding, but when you’ve got a big guest list sacrifices have to be made for the sake of your wallet’s wellbeing. Forgo these sacrifices and stretch those dollars with a micro wedding. In pairing down your guest list, your luxurious wedding design is now affordable! Here’s a look back at some of our fav micro weddings from the past:

Plein-Air Purlieus

I know… we are all sick of talking about COVID, but for better or for worse it has changed the way our society and events operate which brings us to our next forecast: plein-air purlieus (or hangouts). Fresh air is medicinal. Us mountain-folk can certainly back that up, but it has only become more true as of late. Lounge spaces were HUGE in 2020 and we expect to see a lot more of them in 2021; especially outdoor lounges. Providing guests with several stylish and comfortable outdoor hangouts not only make for super cute photos but gives your guests safe and inviting atmospheres to lounge and celebrate without having to be gathered together in an enclosed space. Here’s some inspiration for your wedding board:

Pops of Color

Wedding white will always be timeless, but in 2021 we project that bright and refreshing colors will take the front seat. When planning a Colorado mountain wedding look to nature for inspiration. There are so many beautiful and natural colors that can be pulled from the built-in backdrop. Step aside ivory, the mountain’s crystal blues, deep greens, sunshine yellows, and wildflower brights are taking over in a big way.

Weekday Weddings

One positive about our current work from home culture is the flexibility that it provides our schedules. For this reason, don’t be surprised if you RSVP to some mid-week weddings in 2021. For many, household incomes have been affected. Dodge peak season weekend pricing and opt for a mid-week soiree. Your friends and family will probably be thankful for a reason to take more time off and if not, well, at least they can take their work on the road with them! 🙂

Pantone Times Two

In line with our theory that color will be taking wedding boards by storm this year, Pantone has named its color… well, actually, colors of 2021: a suave gray (Ultimate Gray) and a lemon yellow (Illuminating). We love the contrast of deep, moody, bright, and beautiful. It just goes to show that there’s no need to make a compromise when it comes to your wedding colors. You can have it all! Here are some fun examples to get those creative wheels turning:
